The Bark House Policies and terms and conditions

Your dog is our priority. At all times. We are a cruelty free salon and will not provide a service or stress your dog out at anytime of the grooming process. If your dog is in distress we will stop the groom immediately and contact you.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policies or terms and conditions please feel free to contact us.

Kindness

Kindness and Respect is non negotiable here at The Bark House. If a client is deemed disrespectful or aggressive towards our staff at any point, your custom will no longer be welcome.

Appointments

All of our appointments are scheduled in advance and a reminder will be sent 48 hours prior.

If you choose not to show a $30 fee will be applicable. If you choose to cancel your appointment, we ask you give us a minimum of 24 hours notice or a $30 fee will apply.

Possible additional
Fees

If fleas are found on your dog we will contact you to let you know and then provide a flea rinse. Our salon then needs to be disinfected and a fee of $20 will apply.

If you dog's coat condition is matted or poor we may decide to alter their fur-cut if needed. This will be done after notifying you. Additional fees may apply if extra time is required. We do not brush out matting, it is painful and can cause injuries.

Grooming

We recommend your dog visit the salon every 6- 8 weeks. This, along with regular brushing at home will help avoid disappointment in desired fur styling.

While we are happy to attempt all anxious or shy dogs, If a dog is deemed too aggressive or its coat in too poor of condition we reserve the right to refuse grooming and may ask you to take your dog to the vet.

Collection times will be provided on drop off. If extra time is required we will contact you to discuss.

Although we take our utmost care while grooming, dogs are animals and accidents can happen. Should your dog sustain an injury directly caused by our grooming we will advise immediately and the medical bills will be covered by The Bark House.

We unfortunately are unable to take any responsibility of injuries directly due to matting. Tightness of the matting can cause irritation and pain. Any matting will be discussed prior to the groom.

Anal Glands - We do not express anal glands. This is something that should occur naturally when a dog goes to the toilet. If this is not happening then we advise you see a vet.
